What is Zeo White?

Zeo White is the Zeology-tanned leather intermediate. When you convert a pelt into Zeo White, using Zeology, it is unsurpassed in characteristics such as grain tightness, physical leather properties, lightfastness and heat-resistance. In addition, its bright white color, enables white leather, and lighter and brighter colors than were ever possible before.

What leather articles can be made with Zeo White?

Zeology and Zeo White are being onboarded in an ever growing number of high end tanneries around the globe. With these tanneries a large variety of leather articles has been developed already and new articles are added each day. For example:

• Automotive leather for steering wheel, car seats, panels and dashboards
• Leather for aviation seats
• Leather for luxury furniture
• Leather for high end fashion; bags, shoes and belts

Especially the tightness, flat grain, bright colours and white leather for sport shoes are on high demand. Our Zeologists support the tanneries to get the best out of Zeo White.

Storability of the Zeo White

The zeolite tanned substrate, Zeo White, can be stored for extended time. For best leather results our current advice is to process the Zeo White <6 months after the tanning with Zeology. We are currently collecting further data to extend this time frame. Resistance to mould is good without special treatment.

Besides the fact that Zeo White has less polution and is chrome-free, the main benefit is the color. Zeo White’s bright white color, enables white leather, and lighter and brighter colors than were ever possible before.
