About the shoes With his functional, wearable and fashionable footwear collection ‘Home Base’ Hommy Diaz from the USA won the first edition of Smit & Zoon’s Design Challenge. Five designers started the Design Challenge in October 2020 with one assignment: to create shoes for the high-end of the fashion industry, with an emphasis on the sustainability of their products.
